I’m very excited to announce my first solo exhibition, with vernissage on July 4! The exhibition will take place at a vinothek and herbal garden in Brandenburg, close to where I grew up, making it even more special to me.

The venue, Ziegelhof, is a wonderful place where locals and (weekend) visitors from Berlin come together. Michael and his partner host four exhibitions per year, but as Michael puts it, people don’t come here primarily for the art - it’s more about the joy of going out and enjoying good food. The art is an added bonus. This perspective resonated with me, as I love the idea of my work being seen beyond the typical art bubble. I hope to inspire people in unexpected ways.
Exhibiting living objects will not possible, but I’m excited to showcase weavings in which I incorporate dried local plants into graphic patterns. The weavings will be accompanied by drawings of the plants, aiming to foster a deeper appreciation for the wild-growing local flora.
Other works I will exhibit as prints, showcasing different aspects of my exploration: The combination of plants and textiles in different ways and inspiring a new human-plant relationship.
For the vernissage, I hope to create an event for all senses - with plants and photographs to look at, plants to taste and smell, and maybe even something to listen to…
So save the date and feel warmly invited: July 4 (exact time to be announced).
